Introduction to ZBrush

This course will equip the student with the core set of skills needed to navigate ZBrush's powerful yet unique interface. Learn the fundamentals of Subtools, Primitives, and ZModeller to quickly generate forms and manipulate geometry. students will learn essential techniques using Polygroups, Dynamesh, and ZRemesher to build a strong foundation in digital sculpting. Through guided projects, discover how to create clean, well-structured 3D models that set the stage for more advanced sculpting.

Elise Fedoroff

Elise is a 3D Model & Texture Artist who has a knack for creating compelling stylized characters and props. Her career has taken her across various parts of the entertainment industry, leading her to notable studios such as Nickelodeon, Hasbro, and Baobab Studios. She recently worked as a Character Artist at Activision Blizzard on the game, Warcraft Rumble, but is currently at Swaybox Studios, working on the feature film, Dynamic Duo. With experience spanning the animation, toy, and game industries, Elise has a unique understanding of the different methods, techniques, and pipelines used for each. She loves all aspects of the 3D modeling and texturing process and is excited to share her knowledge and experience to help artists chart their own paths in the wonderful world of CG.

Michael Launder

Michael grew up across different locations in the USA. Moving from coast to coast, he relied on television, videogames, and films to fill his time. Eventually settling with his family in Denver Colorado, Michael fell in love with CAD during high school in between hitting the slopes. Working on Solidworks models of robots and machines quickly turned into Maya sets and characters during college at the University of Colorado Denver animation program, DAC. Michael began his professional journey as a lighting and compositing artist contributing to various films, commercials, and television shows at Los Angeles Studios such as ZOIC, Luma, CoSA and Buck, eventually settling into NICK in 2016 where he has been ever since. He recently proposed to his fiancé Jeanel on a beautiful beach in her home country of the Philippines, and he his constantly covered in dog hair from his faithful Shiba Inu dog, Oso.
